Christian Supiot

Christian Supiot (Valladolid, 1985) is a Graduate Teaching Associate in Spanish in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at The Ohio State University, and Ph.D. candidate. He is interested in the Atlantic relationships between Spain and Latin America and the idea of Sea Travel during the Early Modern Period. His academic background as a historian/archaeologist is focused on Naval History. His credentials include: a Degree in History, with an emphasis in Archaeology, from the University of Valladolid (Spain, 2008) MA in Atlantic Modern History from the University of Valladolid (Spain, 2011), and Postgraduate degree in Underwater Archaeology from the University of Valencia (Spain, 2010). He has on-field experience in archaeology (in both Underwater and traditional archaeology) and archivist (in both Historical and Administrative Archives).
