Dianna Terrell, Ph.D. is associate professor in the department of education at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH. Dr. Terrell earned her Ph.D. at Boston College. Prior to becoming a professor at Saint Anselm College, she was a high school history teacher. Dr. Terrell's research interests include education policy; the impact of high stakes tests on curriculum, instruction and assessment; civic and democratic education; and the social and political contexts of education. She also teaches "Getting Schooled: The Politics and Promise of American Education," "Curriculum and Assessment in Teaching," and supervises student teachers. Dr. Terrell is firmly committed to helping parents make sense of schools, and to keeping her two children excited about school from grade one to graduation. Outside the classroom, Dr. Terrell passionately pens Schooling Our Kids.
