I have worked in a change environment for the past twenty two years - the past twelve of which have been spent as a change management practitioner with IBM. I have long been interested in the intersection between organisation change and transformation and personal change. This interest has led directly to the creation of this blog. Although the tools and techniques of change at an organisational level have changed little in the past thirty years or so (though the environment within which they are applied certainly has), the same is not true of personal change. The tools, techniques and methodologies available in these sphere are almost bewildering in their range and diversity. In the course of my work I have found some that actually seem to work - though I hope to learn from other contributors about many other effective tools. My hope for this blog is that practitioners and others interested in this field can share insights and experience for the benefit of all of the entire change community. It goes without saying (though I'm saying it anyway) that any opinions I express through this blog are entirely my own and not necessarily those of my employer, IBM, or anyone else!
