Master of the Arts in Media Studies (Broadcast Communication) Favorite book? All I Really Need To Know I Learned From Kindergarten by Robert Fulgham The book is my go-to when I feel overwhelmed with life. A breather. It reminds me to appreciate the simple and basic things when life gets complicated--the basic things that we forget like balance of work and play, courtesy, and ‘No matter how old you are--when you go out into the world, it is best to hold hands and stick together’. Favorite movie? Land Before Time because of sentimental reason. Growing up, my father always tells me that when I was 4 years old, I asked him where my lola was and he answered that she’s already in heaven. To his surprise, I said, ‘She’s not in heaven. She’s there.’—pointing at his heart. I got that idea from this movie. My favorite media practitioner of all time? I have two, Alfred Hitchcock and Quark Henares. Alfred Hitchcock because I am a fan of suspense and horror genre, and he is one of pillars of it. Quark Henares because he is one of the reasons why I became a media practitioner myself. It was back in highschool and he visited for career day. I remembered he showed one of the music videos he directed and from there, I really got interested in pursuing a career in media. My favorite song/ music/ band/ songwriter of all time: Anything Sugarfree because highschool for me is the best time of life. And anything, cross over and jazz because I grew up listening to these during Sundays and and car rides. Favorite internet site? Pinterest because I am into cooking and this site is my go-to for recipes, or anything in cute, artsy, and crafty. My favorite meal of all time? Brunch (Breakfast and Lunch) because you get the best of both worlds rolled into one—breakfast food and lunch food. It is like magic hour for food. And, mom's cooking because it gives you that warmth of home. Hobbies? Cooking and baking on weekends and people watching.
