Michelle Riggen-Ransom

Engaged, creative, diplomatic senior communication professional with a background in writing, entertainment, and voice technology. If you've ever asked Alexa to tell you a joke or a story, had your kids use Alexa to call Santa, or requested the "Viral Hits" or "Viral Classics" playlist to hear what tracks are on trend, you've probably heard my work! As senior program manager on the AWS team, I focused on rolling out ITS communications and projects at scale. As Voice Programming Lead on the Amazon Music team, I worked to ensure customers can hear their favorite songs, discover new artists, and enjoy engaging experiences with music on Alexa. And as one of the original writers for Alexa Personality, my work defining Alexa's voice and character earned me a spot in WIRED magazine's “20 people who are creating the future”. I have a passion for creating new, creative customer experiences that align with strategic goals, thinking big while executing on a plan, and partnering with cross-functional teams to get it all done. Having fun at work is a must for me even when the work is challenging, and I love leading others in doing the same. We may not know what the future holds, but it's bound to be interesting! I look forward to building what's next.
