Nick demonstrated outstanding discipline long before entering the workforce. As a member of his high school rifle team, he earned the highest standing position score and overall score during his junior year, helping the team complete an undefeated 2006 season. His dedication continued through his senior year with top scores across every shooting position. Nick also competed at a high level beyond school competition. His strong performances earned him a place at the Western Regionals held at the Olympic Training Center. He finished fifteenth in the Army JROTC division and twenty-eighth overall, highlighting his focus, preparation, and ability to perform under competitive conditions.
