Course: BA Journalism Favorite Book: Ang Mundong Ito ay Lupa by Edgardo M. Reyes. This book is about a woman that struggles to adapt in an urban area. I found it interesting because it is straightforward and it mirrors our Philippine society. Favorite film: Bituing Walang Ningning. This movie depicts a life of an ordinary sampaguita vendor and her aspiration to be like her idol, which is similar to the lives of most Filipinos who consider themselves to be fans of famous actors, actresses, etc. Favorite media practitioner: Jessica Soho. I idolize this woman because she is very bold in her reports and she is also a BA Journalism graduate. Her reports are fair and her questions are relevant for the people to gain their needed information about the current events in society. Favorite song: Spolarium by Eraserheads. This music is very dark and mysterious and it also has a story behind it. The song is about the rape case of Pepsi Paloma and the hosts of Eat Bulaga, and I strongly believe that in creating music, there should always be a background story or a message behind it. Favorite meal: Kare-kare. Kare-kare is a dish that I love because it is really nutritious and delicious. My family and I make it a point to eat this dish whenever there is a family gathering because it has already become a family favorite of ours.
