Redemption Dolls

Inspired by a talented Australian, my two daughters and I started looking for used dolls to re-purpose them into lovely dollies. When we first started to repaint these dolls, we fell so in love with the process and the results were too many dolls. Can there really be such a thing? Well, yes. Now we desire to share our joy. All the dolls we repaint have taken on new character and meaning. We find some of these dolls dirty, nude, footless, sticky, and most, with matted hair. After we purchase them, we bring them home, give them a bath, wash, brush and condition their hair and remove stains. Next we remove the heavily painted eyes and lips, condition their "skin" and give them bright new faces. After they have dried, they get a new do and look (fashion/clothes), and sometimes they get paired with a pet, friend or sibling. Next, they are ready for a new home. That's the hard part, letting them go. We have watched them being transformed into new dolls and want to share them with others. Maybe you.
