Julius N. Konton, Sr

Julius N. Konton is a Liberian journalist with over sixteen years of professional experience in broadcast and multimedia reporting. Known for his dedication to telling impactful stories, he has earned professional recognition for his work across news, politics, and sports coverage. Over the years, he has worked with some of Liberia’s most reputable media institutions, including the Liberia Broadcasting System (ELBC), Sky FM/TV, Kings FM, KMTV, and Fortune TV, where he also served as CEO. He has further contributed as a broadcast consultant with Intel Sports, Liberia’s exclusive sports television network. In addition to his newsroom leadership, Konton has been an active member of the Liberian press community, advocating for press freedom and covering major national events. His fieldwork has included challenging assignments, with experiences that highlight both the risks and resilience of journalism in Liberia. Konton holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from the University of Liberia (2017) and continues to serve as a voice for responsible and professional journalism in Liberia.
