These days I'm a software engineer, but I'm more of a sysadmin who handles the patching and upgrading of legacy software, support requests of a more technical nature, a lot of SQL Server work, application and API security, creating Microsoft Azure services and technical documentation. For about seven years prior to that, I worked in the healthcare industry, mainly developing clinical integration, messaging and monitoring systems. It was mainly MVC applications and APIs based on the .NET Framework, jQuery and some SQL Server work. I graduated in 2014 with a Masters' degree in Computer security, at the University of South Wales, for which I studied a wide range of things, including computer forensics, operating system internals, malware analysis, networking, Python and .NET development (and a little bit of C++) and cryptography. During that time I also helped to establish Security-Forensics Ltd, which provided services for small businesses.
